How do I earn and use energy?

Energy is what you spend to complete story quests and continue Catherine’s adventure. You earn it as part of the regular reward for every match-3 level you win.

Which levels give more energy?

The level types award increasing amounts of energy in this order:

1. Regular levels and gold rush! levels
2. hard
3. quest
4. very hard
5. hard quest!

Hard quest levels award the most energy.

Spend energy on quests

Check the quest list for your next task. When you have enough energy, the game prompts you to complete it. Select the quest to spend the energy and move the story forward.

If you’re short on energy, win a few more levels. Quest and hard quest levels are particularly useful for earning more.
