How do I use the Spade?

The Spade unlocks at level 8. It hits a cell of your choice without using a move.

1. Select the Spade from the booster panel during a level.
2. Select the cell you want to hit.

The Spade delivers one hit. An obstacle with several layers may need more than one hit to remove it completely. The Spade can’t break Granite; that requires a Pickaxe.

Each use consumes one Spade, unless it is temporarily unlimited.

A Spade can be especially useful near the end of a level, when one last piece, obstacle, or item stands between you and the goal.
